Wooden countertop

On your request, we are able to make a worktop from any species of wood on offer in a suitable form. The way it is made depends mainly on the intended use:

- Tops made of full thickness timber with solid slats along the length

- Tops made of full thickness wood with slats joined at length:

A more economical version allowing the maximum amount of raw material to be used in production.

- Tops made of glulam in thickness:

This type of bonding is mainly used in cases where the worktop will be used in difficult conditions for the wood, or when a wood species belonging to unstable species is selected that require additional joints at the bond joint to improve its stability. This type of bonding can also be used when raw material of the required thickness is not available.

- Veneered tops:

The outer layers are made of a noble species of wood, ranging from 1.5 mm to 12 mm thick.

The centre of the worktop, depending on the requirements, made from wood glulam of cheaper grades or joinery board, OSB, particle board, MDF, plywood, etc.

The use of this type of countertop design can be attributed to several factors:

     - desire to achieve the right wood pattern,

     - adequate stability

     - reducing the weight of the product for structural reasons

The intensity of use of an upholstered worktop depends on the protective layer (varnish, oil, wax) and the thickness of the veneer used as an outer layer (the thicker the upholstery, the more possibilities for renewing the wear layer).
